Another attempt with the unfamiliar…and you can win this painting… keep reading

Today was another attempt at painting with an unfamiliar medium.

I have decided to put the pastels aside yet once again.

My painting for today was painted with acrylics.

So, now I need your help.

Please in the comments below, leave a message about this painting.

I want to expand my skills and am trying different mediums. I do like working with acrylics.

I like the way that I can go from darks to lights just as I do with pastels.

However, pastels are quite messy and I get tired of the constant mess whilst painting.

I would like to get others’ opinions, on the quality and what it looks like needs more work, etc.

If you would also like to leave a message just to say “hi” that’s great too! 🙂

I have been away from my art for quite a while. I have been in a “rut” and have just not wanted to paint. Or, do anything really.

The past week I have been not very well, so I am trying to get myself back in a positive vibe, doing something I really like doing, artwork.

Thank you very much for your kindness and your input.

And, hey! The coolest thing about your input is,  all of the people who have commented will get their names in a raffle and a chance to win this painting!

Woohoo!  Bet you are glad you are following Cindy Williams Art blog now, aren’t ya? 🙂 🙂

Thank you very much for your kindness and your input. (Winner will be notified Sunday, September 14, 2014)

  1. I like your black and white ladies. I think the pastel paintings have a more subtle edge which is hard to create with acrylic. This painting would be more effective if you painted out the fingers and made that whole section into an oriental fan. Also she seems so sad, I wonder if there is a way to make her look a bit happier. Maybe red lips?
